R&B group “Oh He Dead” just dropped their new single today from their EP “Blood In The Water.” The single is titled, “This Time Around” and it’s about the lead singer Cynthia Johnson’s father. Johnson’s soulful and raspy voice ties well together with the soft synthesizer from the keyboard, and smooth bass. The band is from Northeastern D.C..
Roger Catlin from “The Vinyl District” says, “The band has an unique ability to blend rock and funk together, and will not be unnoticed.” When asked about how the band got their name Andy would ask Cynthia about her ex, which she would reply with “Oh he dead.” The bands witty traditional funky vibe will surely get you off your feet.
