‘The Chills’, a new song by the New Electric Sound, is a well-crafted, laid-back post-punk song. The group is clearly in debt to post-punk revival groups like the Hives and the Strokes. The New Electric Sound has cleared its own path by cleaning up and creating a broader modern appeal for this sound. Synths and innovative guitar effects help to round out the song’s radio appeal and pop sensibility. Expect to hear more from the New Electric Sound soon!
