The New Jim van der Zee song, ‘Vincent’, is a refined, cleanly-produced country song. This cover of the Don McLean tune went viral in the Netherlands during Van der Zee’s victorious stint on the Voice Holland. In this rendition, mellow finger style guitar is accompanied by Van der Zee’s angelic voice and some choice strings. Although it’s certainly laid back, ‘Vincent’ is a prime example of strong composition and smart production choices. This is a uniquely European take on country music. Go check him out!
