Ilt’s ‘Astral’ is reserved, well-done dream pop. These guys claim, “Astral is a piece of music that will project you into the outer layer. This Layer is called the bridge between the denser or lower vibrations of the physical plane and the finer or higher vibrations of the spiritual planes.” The simple, unpretentious guitar plucking on here is properly served by the well-produced reverb. The rhythm section on here is pretty laid back, but the addition of synths, whirring sounds and other electronic noises helps fill out the mix. These guys aren’t revolutionizing the game, but this is a solid take on a hot genre. Check out ‘Astral’ below!
