‘I Love Joey’ by The Vanjas, is fun, eclectic pop-oriented garage rock. According to the band, this tune is “about loving someone from a distance and that moment when you realize all you can do is to give in to that affection. Listening to this song will make you feel elated, in love and sixteen.” These guys certainly take some cues from garage rock and the post-punk revival. In particular, they seem to have a lot in common with fellow Swedes, The Hives. The band sets itself apart with a deeper commitment to old school rock and roll and other retro sounds. This tune is infectiously full of energy. It’s really worth a listen. Check out ‘I Love Joey’ below!
