Pop punk is alive and well…especially in Canada! Indie pop punk band from Toronto Summerteeth just released their new single and music video for their anthemic song “Stay Warm.” The melodic song features soft vocals, from their lead vocalists Johnny McMahon. The song also has upbeat lyrics, smooth harmonies, and dreamy guitar riffs that really make for a solid song. The lyrics talk about being care free and staying positive even after you lose everything. This band sticks out from any other punk pop band because they have a more soft and homey vibe to them, rather then the teenage angst vibe you normally see in the pop punk scene. Summerteeth brings a sound that is fresh and exciting to pop punk scene. Hear it for yourself!
Summerteeth will be releasing their second EP “Sweet Nothing” on June 22nd, 2018. The band feels that this EP is really optimistic from their last EP “High Hopes” and will give listeners a new sound from the band. This was the direction that the band had to take to really develop their sound in a meaningful way.
