Search and Seizure’s ‘Lost and Found’ Is Patient-Yet-Anthemic Midwestern Hard Rock

8 7 18 Search and SeizureSearch and Seizure’s ‘Lost and Found’ is patient, intense alternative rock with an anthemic quality. This Kansas City, Missouri outfit includes former members of bands like, “Waiting for Signal, Pet Comfort and Red Line Chemistry,” their website says. Over the course of a relatively quiet extended intro, these musicians do a consummate job of working their way up to the piece’s emotional crux. Here, hearty, full-throated vocals lay over plinky atmospheric guitars and a solid, pocketed rhythm section before the whole group flies into a traditional hard rock climax. There’s definitely a good sense of intensity, but it’s the kind of intensity that could go well on a more accessible Spotify playlist or even on the radio. These guys really have it together.
