Blending Pagan imagery with psychedelic pop sounds, The Dream Eaters are bringing a beautifully unique perspective to music with “Bats In The Belfry.” They describe their voices as “ethereal,” and even that description is an understatement. The harmonies from Jake Zavracky make the overall sound richer, like a musical equivalent to cheesecake. In the music video, they even appear ethereal, especially Elizabeth LeBaron, whose entire outfit reflects the Pagan message. Overall, this video and sound creates an overwhelmingly stunning effect that reflects the beauty of nature that is so often explored in Paganism.
“Recording this song was incredibly frustrating, I just counted, there were 85 versions of the song before we finally got it; if it weren’t for Elizabeth, I would have given up on it before it even got off the ground. But I’m glad we stuck with it because it ended up being one of my favorite songs on the album.”
