Oceans Over Alderaan’s ‘Sevenfour’ is some haunting, ethereal post rock with some clear shoegaze influences out of the United Kingdom. These guys describe themselves as, “an atmospheric doom pop band from Blackpool.” They say they put together “elements of shoegaze and post-rock to make a huge wall of sound.” The band definitely knows how to immerse their listeners in a crisp, clean and well-orchestrated environment. The soaring guitars and whispy vocals interlock perfectly with the bombastic rhythm section over the course of this broad, often challenging composition.
