Runner’s ‘Eggshell’ is some fuzzy, layered indie rock with a broad, homey approach. These guys have “quickly become of the best kept secrets in their music scene today,” they say. “The band fuses electronic and experimental elements into their ragged, heart-on-your-sleeve folk-rock.” They use the somewhat facetious phrase “Bandcamp songs for Soundcloud kids,” to define their sound. There’s a lot of really cool stuff happening on this track. The music itself is has an immersive quality that really allows the listener to visualize the space the lyrics take place in. These guys fuse some folkier, more traditional musicianship with a fine-tuned, digitized approach to composition and production. That leaves a very strong final product.
