Derek Ted Releases Dope Music Video for His New Song “Sew Me Up”, From His Latest EP

Derek Ted is an LA based DIY emo folk pop artist. His music has a genre-bending allure that recently grabbed the attention of Pure Noise Records. Shortly after signing with them he released a new album, “Better Spirit”, his first of hopefully many EPs with the label. With this exciting news came the release of his latest music video for “Sew Me Up” which appears as the 4th track on the “Better Spirit” album.

This music video is a compilation of footage gathered over the years in Derek’s migration from his hometown of San Francisco to his current home base, Los Angeles. The stunning videography is perfectly edited to match the beautifully written lyrics. This song has such a mellow feelgood vibe that effortlessly complements the emotional soundscape of the whole album, you’ll definitely want to add this to your summer playlist. Derek’s vocals are ethereally soulful and dreamlike. I could and will listen to this song and album on repeat.

“This song is about friendship and almost like a love song for your best buds…This video was directed by my best friend (Kevin Patrick) and we used tons of old lo-fi footage going back to the old days of living in SF. I didn’t know it at the time…but we had been filming this video for the past 7 years.”
