The Lonely Biscuits are a 3 piece indie-alt rock band from Nashville, TN. They are best known for their 90’s rock style and derive their musical influences from artists like Weezer, Modest Mouse, and Jack White. In 2018 they released their debut album, “The Universe in You”. We chose to spotlight this album because although it received high accolades within their growing fan base it didn’t achieve the far reaching recognition it deserved.
“The Universe in You” sounds like if you made your crush a cute mixtape… except it’s just this album. It has a ton of feel good slacker rock tracks with a touch of fuzz pop. The songs are very well mastered and blend together perfectly when listened to consecutively.
I had the pleasure of seeing The Lonely Biscuits live at Pianos NYC in 2017. They put on a spectacularly energetic live show that I still think about all the time.
