<h2><span style="font-weight:400;">History of the College World Series </span></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight:400;">The College World Series has been held in Omaha, Nebraska since 1950. From 1950 to 2010, the event was held at Rosenblatt Stadium, until being moved to the TD Ameritrade Park Omaha in 2011. Earlier tournaments in 1947 and 1948 were held Hyames Field in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Wichita, Kansas’s Lawrence Stadium in 1949. In 2009, it was announced that the NCAA and College World Series of Omaha, Inc. had signed a 25-year contract extension, which would keep the College World Series in Omaha through 2035.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight:400;">As mentioned earlier, the Division I Baseball Championship tournament features 64 teams in the first round. Then, the final eight teams will go on to participate in the College World Series. The eight teams are then split into two, four-team double-elimination brackets, with the winners of each bracket then going on to play in a best-of-three championship series. </span></p>
