Baby FuzZ is the moniker and side project of hit-writer Sterling Fox. He has written hits with the likes of Gym Glass Heroes, Madonna, Max Martin, Lana Del Rey, songs that you have probably heard and may even know the words to. Have you checked out his solo project though? His genius songwriting abilities don’t stop on the hits. He knows how to deliver for his own project too. His latest is a single called “Weekend Blues.”
Compared to some other Baby FuzZ songs, “Weekend Blues” sits on the poppier side of the music-genre spectrum. The melodies of the song are catchy throughout, proving again how great of a songwriter Sterling Fox is. The production on this track goes to very unique places, that most pop radio songs never get to. Sometimes breaking outside of what is currently trendy can be frightening for songwriters and producers. It seems like Baby FuzZ has no fear in regards to that. Baby FuzZ has always been known to think outside of the box, and although this song has a great hook line that makes it fit in with other top hits, the production still stands out from other pop recordings to set it apart. You can hear a horn section and simple percussion elements throughout the track.
