Savannah Jaine Drops Relaxing Acoustic Single “Empty Cup”

Currently quarantined in Manchester, U.K., Savannah Jaine released a heartfelt and personal song “Empty Cup” last October that leaves our glass way more than half-full

Savannah Jaine is a dynamic and versatile vocalist and songwriter. Originally from Florida, Savannah has worked as a songwriter in New York, Chicago and Nashville. She has been featured at 54 Below and the Duplex in New York City and The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN.

She worked for many years as a lead vocalist for Carnival Cruise Lines, with 15 different bands on ships around the world. In between contracts honing her skills singing 4 hours a night 6 days a week with the bands, she toured on her own with a guitar on her back, writing and singing songs through Europe, trading music for beds at hostels in 15 countries and blogging all the way. She has performed as an Artist in Residence in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Ibiza, Spain.

The song starts with a calming acoustic guitar riff and we’re almost immediately accompanied by her soft vocals. Her vocal range and pitch carry us throughout the song quite nicely. This song gives me warmth from the vocal tones and melodies. It also makes me want to sit outside on a sunny day and listen to it while sipping lemonade in the shade! It just gives us those vibes

The lyrics give a little bit of a different vibe. It starts off very sad, as she sings about a breakup. According to Savannah, this song is actually very personal. “I wrote it when I was struggling with my mental health and dealing with a break-up. You can’t love someone until you love yourself, you can’t pour from an empty cup.” We love a good life lesson message in beautiful music like this!

As the song progresses, the melancholic lyrics dive more into this self love expression and realizes she needs to move on. Once she discovers this is what’s best for her, it makes the peaceful instrumental even more fitting. She sings about wishing peace to her ex, and needing to find that love in herself. By the end, we can hear the peace in Savannah’s vocal nuances while we chew the food for thought from the story in the song. It definitely is a revitalizing track that is guaranteed to brighten up any rainy day!

Be sure to stream “Empty Cup” on all platforms now! We hope to hear more from Savannah soon!
