Pawl, Discrete, & Ebenezer Collaborate for Mesmerizing Dance Track “5 AM”

The powerhouse trio bring electro-pop infused r&b vibes with upbeat dance track “5 AM,” and we love every bit of it!

After the success with “In My Heart” with over 5 million streams on Spotify alone, the Swedes Pawl and Discrete join forces with the UK rapper Ebenezer (collabs with Duke Dumont, Lil Durk, A Boogie Wit a Hoodie) creating mesmerizing dance-pop track “5 AM” – an uptempo song full of energy. “5 AM” is the third single leading up to Pawl and Discrete’s forthcoming joint-EP which is scheduled to be released later in 2021. ‘5 AM’ is set out to become the perfect club track with both energy from the Dance scene meeting Pop + Trap with the sensual vocals from Pawl and a great middle eight from Ebenezer. We can’t expect anyone to stay until 5 AM!

Pawl is an artist, songwriter, and producer based in Stockholm, Sweden with roots from Lebanon. He began producing songs at 13 years old in a youth center where his talent was developed and discovered. PAWL has since been gaining international recognition through the support and likes of The Chainsmokers and Cheat Codes, writing K-pop songs for GOT7, playing at Weekend Festival and ADE, and racking up over 55 million streams and counting on Spotify. Pawl characteristic sound consists of a brilliant fusion between pop & deep house.

Growing up in an artistic and culturally diverse household and discovering music production at an early age, Stockholm-based producer Discrete developed his production versatility over years of unreleased solo projects and writing and producing for artists spanning just about every genre. With his own impressive catalogue, Discrete is already making waves across the electronic music scene. Having produced songs for many artists across the board, Discrete has been able to experiment and perfect his own craft in a way that allows him to be capable of just about anything.

With a treasure trove of credits ranging from Jeremih, Ty Dolla $ign, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Craig David, Stefflon Don and K-Pop favorites SuperM, U.K. upstart Ebenezer struck gold early on in his career as a prolific and producer. His penchant for sticky hooks slithered its way to his debut EP, 2018’s Bad Romantic, where highlights were abundant, including the summery intro “South of France” and the swaggering anthem “Stats”.

The song starts off slow with beautiful vocal melodies that put us in a trance. The build up to the hook makes us feel like we’re wandering around in a club looking for somebody, and then the drop hits. The intoxicating hook takes me back to those drunken nights dancing in a club without a care in the world.

This feeling the music gives me takes me to another place, somewhere in a low lit crowded room with heavy bass and drinks in every hand. Near the end of the song, we get a hip-hop breakdown that perfectly helps close the song with a final hook. From start to finish, I was brought to a different world, and that’s what I love most about this track.
