
<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>New Films, TV Series and Music Projects Keeping Actor Poised for Success</em></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Multi talented actor, producer and musician Linda Collins has several eclectic projects in the works set for promotion, release or production this summer and fall 2022.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Of specific note is the film “Three for the Road”, where Linda has a starring role and is Executive Producer. “Three for the Road” was an Official Selection and/or an Award Winner at the following Festivals this year:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">SEMI-FINALIST :Best Comedy Short (April 5, 2022)</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The film was a previous Award winner for Best Ensemble at the Brightside Tavern Film Festival and appeared in several others. “Three for the Road” is also expanding into a series; writer/director David Patrick Wilson has already written several episodes for Season 1.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Secondly would be the irreverent dark comedy “Goat”, where Linda stars as Dolly, a downtrodden but lovable character in a battle to save her relationship against an unsuspected rival. The indie short, which is currently in post-production, was shot in the NY Metro area by writer/director Mariam Bakashvilli.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Additionally, Linda will be starring as Marigold in Writer/director Debbie Markowitz short indie drama film, “The Prof”, (along with Anthony Robert Grasso as “The Prof”). Linda is also Executive Producer for the project, which is currently in pre-production with shooting set for later in 2022.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Filming is set to begin in July for “Clique”, an indie original BIPOC LGBTQ+ series (Ish Productions), where Linda has a supporting role as Katherine Bangel. ;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Currently in pre-production, Linda is cast in a co-starring role as Helga in writer/director Andre Irias’ “Walkure”, a historical short film set in World War 2 Germany. Linda previously partnered with Irias on the multiple award winning “Perception”. ;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In her equally prolific music endeavors, Linda, as Director of the well respected NBRC Youth Drama Club, was recently involved with “The Agape League”, a children&#8217;s musical comedy play. She directs two musicals a year for the Drama Club. Other projects in her position as Director of Music and Worship Arts include conducting the Hallelujah Chorus with the NBRC Chancel Choir with organ, guitars, trumpet, violin, drums and pipe organ accompanying the traditional choir, in a fantastic arrangement of the classic hymn.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Past acting/producing projects have included “Mary Jane’s Tribulations” (where Linda has a co-starring role and is a Producer), an official selection at the Northeast Mountain Film Festival in Georgia for November 2021 and which just screened in Ireland at the 12th Chain Festival, and “Perception”; a multiple award winning short film just finishing it&#8217;s run on the festival circuit and now available on Amazon Prime and Piccen that garnered her a “Best Supporting Actress” win in 2020 at the Latino Film Festival in Omaha. Linda also has a co-starring role in “CUTTER” which is currently in production.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On the Web/TV side of things, Linda can be seen in the Zoom series comedy, “Cuzzins” (Twenty first Century Vision Films) which is currently in ongoing production and is set to appear in “Paper” (Omar Moore) a crime drama currently shooting in NYC. Linda is also working on a new as-yet-untitled web series with screenwriter Dan Guindon in pre-production that she is executive producing.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In feature films, look for her in the crime dramas “Dying To Love You”, (currently filming), ; and “Crazy Athol” ; &#8211; currently in pre-production.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>MORE ABOUT LINDA COLLINS:</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Linda Collins was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Olivia Watson Beaty, a pianist, vocalist, and Sacred Music Director and father Gaylon Patterson, a Lt. Colonial in the Air Force reserves, and Production Manager at McDonald-Douglas Aircraft. Her heritage includes Scottish, Irish and Native American. Linda exhibited an early aptitude for acting and music, and her siblings often created and performed plays for their parents while in grade school. Her earliest at home role was as Cupid in the family Valentine&#8217;s play. ;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">She was in the Thespians Club in high school, performing in school productions, and her talents subsequently won her scholarships to the University of Alabama, Duquesne University (BM, summa cum laude) ; where she was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society, and Northern Illinois University (Master of Music degree).</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After performing several years as a professional musician in the US and Canada, Linda moved to NYC, and in 2010 began pursuing in earnest her other love &#8211; acting. While studying in NYC with renowned acting coach Catherine Gaffigan, she began booking film and television work. Since then she’s booked leading roles in TV Series’ including “I&#8217;d Kill for You”, “Stalked”, “Redrum” (Co-starring as Lt. Detective Penny Kimball), “Evil I”, “Monsters Inside Me” (Co-starring as Patricia Nash), and the co-lead role in an episode of True Crime with Aphrodite Jones. She has also appeared in the Feature Films “Burning Blue” (As the on-screen mother to William Lee Scott&#8217;s character), “Contest” (As a cooking contest Judge), and in the leading role of Edna in Ashley Cintron&#8217;s production of “Chef&#8217;s House”. ;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As a musician, Linda has played Principal Horn in several orchestras including the Huntsville Symphony, Winnipeg Symphony (CA), and Naples Philharmonic (FL) Orchestras, as well as in theatre orchestras for “Fiddler on the Roof” (Herschel Bernardi), “Showboat” (Elaine Stritch and Robert Morse), and “Phantom of the Opera” in Toronto. She also was pianist with many groups including the American Wind Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Ballet, Chicago City Ballet and Paul Taylor Dance Company, and has performed in numerous national broadcasts for Canada&#8217;s CBC Radio. ;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Always an activist for the arts, Linda received the honor of a national appointment by Canadian Minister of Heritage Flora McDonald to serve for three years as a member of the Canadian Advisory Committee on the Status of the Artist ( Ottawa, CA) and later was appointed by AFM International President Tom Lee as Assistant to the International President of the American Federation of Musicians in NYC, where she served the international music community for six years.</p>
