The track is a scorching banger that showcases Bryce&#8217;s signature electropop sound and stomping, cutting lyrics.</p>
<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: center">&#8220;A Bridge Burned Down&#8221; is a fiery and high-energy song about deceit. “Someone I really trusted &#8211; someone admired by many in my community &#8211; betrayed me last year,” says Bowyn. “It made me realize you can’t always play nice with people who don’t have your back. When someone shows you who they really are, believe them and burn that bridge down.”</p>
<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: center">This is the first single off Bryce’s highly anticipated second EP “Divine Chemistry.” Building on last year’s “A Rosy Retrospect”, Bryce takes a new direction in this collection of tracks. Inspired by Renaissance art and mythology, he focuses on storytelling and history to create an enigmatic, evocative listening experience.</p>
<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: center">The track starts off high energy bringing us something to move to! Once Bryce enters the track with his crispy and solid vocals, I knew I was going to like this song. Once the chorus hits, the energy shifts, and you can feel the power behind the track. The lyrics are clever and pack a punch, with Bryce holding nothing back!</p>
<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: center">The bridge adds such an epic touch instrumentally and gives us a more low key Bryce, bringing us down to earth before bringing us back up for the chorus. Through and through, this track brings an unmatchable energy from Bryce that I honestly can&#8217;t wait to see live. <p dir="ltr" style="text-align: center"><strong>Bryce Bowyn:</strong> Hey Bryce! I’ve been hungry for people to hear and dance to this song for a while so I’m excited the day is finally here.</p>
<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: center"><strong>Bryce Quartz: </strong>Can you tell us a little bit more about what inspired you to write this track? Spill some of the tea!</p>
<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: center"><strong>Bryce Bowyn: </strong>This song is about an opportunist who cares more about popularity than loyalty. The type of person who will ask you for help for years, but turns into Casper the Unfriendly Ghost when it’s time to return the favor. I had a lot of admiration for this person, so it really stung to discover they were two-faced. I typically try to be a “water under the bridge” kinda gal, but in this case, the bridge needed to be turned to ash.</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: center"><strong>Bryce Quartz: </strong>Do you think the person that inspired this song will eventually hear it, and what do you think their response would be?</p>
<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: center"><strong>Bryce Bowyn: </strong>I’m not so arrogant to think this would ever be on their radar. I hope if they do hear it, they are embarrassed about their behavior. To quote Tyra, learn from this!</p>
<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: center"><strong>Bryce Quartz: </strong>You can hear the emotions and power behind your voice throughout the entire song. How did you channel that energy into the track when it came time to record it in the studio?</p>
<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: center"><strong>Bryce Bowyn: </strong>I am a huge proponent of kindness. I think it’s the number one thing we need in the world right now. So many problems would be solved if we approached every problem from a place of compassion. That being said, I abandoned those feelings here. In the studio, I get to unleash my inner Housewife and be a little ruthless.</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: center"><strong>Bryce Quartz: </strong>Did you have any musical inspirations that came about when creating this track?</p>
<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: center"><strong>Bryce Bowyn: </strong>I wanted this song to sound like it could be on the soundtrack of True Blood. It needed to sound like you took a shitty boat through a swamp, stumbled upon a haunted gay bar, and line danced with the Creature from the Black Lagoon. I think Alex Flagstad, who produced it, achieved just that.</p>
<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: center"><strong>Bryce Quartz: </strong>What was the most difficult part about making this song? The writing, the production, anything specific?</p>
<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: center"><strong>Bryce Bowyn: </strong>I wouldn’t say it was difficult per se, but I wanted there to be different levels here. It’s a revenge song, but it’s also playful and fun. So I went into it hoping to find a good balance of anger, humor, and groove. There’s a Madonna song called “I Fucked Up” and you think it’s an apologetic song coming from a place of regret. But she ends it by basically saying “Maybe we could go back to the way things were…or not.” I always thought that was funny and wanted to replicate that here. Indifference to repairing a broken relationship.</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: center"><strong>Bryce Bowyn: </strong>Well in a perfect world, we’d have the budget to film the swamp gay bar music of my dreams, but we aren’t quite there yet. I do have some visuals up my sleeve for my new EP though. It will be out at the end of the year.</p>
