<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Internationally acclaimed band </span><a href="https://myfathersplace.com/wp/event/fri-aug-4-barnaby-bye/"><b>Barnaby Bye</b></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> will be performing on Friday August 4th at </span><a href="https://www.themetropolitancaterers.com/contact"><b>The Metropolitan</b></a><span style="font-weight: 400">, 3 Pratt Blvd in Glen Cove, NY as part of </span><a href="https://myfathersplace.com/wp/contact/"><b>My Father’s Place</b></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> curated concerts.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Barnaby Bye will welcome world renowned guitarist, songwriter and producer </span><a href="https://www.facebook.com/JimmyRipAndTheTrip/"><b>Jimmy Rip</b></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> to join them on stage for this show. Jimmy is a long time associate of the band, and has worked with rock and roll royalty for his entire career; performing with the likes of Hall of Famers such as Jerry Lee Lewis, Mick Jagger, Debbie Harry and Hall &; Oates spanning decades.</span></p>
<p><a href="https://myfathersplace.com/wp/event/fri-aug-4-barnaby-bye/"><b>Barnaby Bye</b></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> began in 1970, when twin brothers Billy and Bobby Alessi were working in the Broadway cast of “Hair”, and former Blues Magoos guitarist Peppy Castro joined the show. The three came together to form Barnaby Bye with Mike Ricciardella on drums. The band was signed to Atlantic Records and released one album in 1972 (“Room to Grow”, which was produced by Atlantic Records President Ahmet Ertegon) and another, “Touch” in 1973 which included hits such as “Tumblin’ Inn,” “Jessie Girl,” and “Can’t Live This Way.”</span></p>
<p><a href="http://www.alessibros.com/"><b>The Alessi Brothers</b></a><span style="font-weight: 400">’ timeless melodies have remained ethereal in American popular music, and have grown even more beloved across the globe. Take for instance their hit song “Seabird,” the gentle tune is a favorite of British born superstar Harry Styles, as he featured the track on his Apple Music “at home” playlist to endure the pandemic. “Seabird” was also used during the credits of Taika Waititi&#8217;s film “Hunt for the Wilderpeople” and in the new comedy-drama series “Resident Alien”. Additionally, their tune “Do You Feel It” was recently sampled by The xx on &#8220;Say Something Loving&#8221;. They are also an unabashed favorite of international supermodel, author, and actress Emily Ratajkowski. Even as their songs charted around the world, The Alessi Brothers made a second career writing music for other world renowned artists &#8211; such as Peter Frampton, Frankie Valli and Olivia Newton John and in the jingle business for many years, penning some of the most iconic commercials in history.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Emmy nominated and award-winning playwright and multi-instrumentalist </span><a href="https://www.peppycastro.com/about.html"><b>Peppy Castro</b></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> is considered to be one of the early pioneers of the Psychedelic Garage band rock era. His first hit record came out when he was just 17 as one of the founding fathers of the legendary rock group,&#8221;The Blues Magoos”. His songs have been recorded by the likes of Diana Ross, Kiss and Cher, among others. Peppy has worked with many legends of rock over the years including Laura Branagin, Michael Bolton, Liza Minnelli, Ronnie Spector, Joan Jett, Richie Havens, John Denver, David Johansen, Darlene Love and more.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Drummer </span><a href="https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063500140939"><b>Mike Ricciardella</b></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> is most widely known for his work with the band Illusions. The group had a major hit in the United States, 1969&#8217;s &#8220;Did You See Her Eyes&#8221;, which peaked at number 32 on the Billboard chart and at number 1 in some places in New York, as well as three minor hits: &#8220;Together&#8221; (peaked at No. 80 on Billboard), &#8220;Let&#8217;s Make Each Other Happy&#8221; (No. 98), and &#8220;How Does it Feel?&#8221; (No. 110). Their first album reached No. 69 and stayed 27 weeks in the Billboard 200 albums chart. During their existence the band toured extensively throughout the United States, opening for various acts including The Who, The Allman Brothers Band, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Chicago and Sly and the Family Stone.</span></p>
