<p>Fiddlehead&#8217;s &#8216;Lay Low&#8217;, off their upcoming album <i>Springtime and Blind</i>, is a rousing, infectious post-hardcore tune. The Boston band, which is clearly well-versed in its local Massachusetts hardcore history, seems to take more cues from old school DC emocore than it does from emo pop or Midwest emo. The song&#8217;s repetitive chorus is extremely catchy. The group&#8217;s gruff masculine vocals are a nice change of pace for a genre that seems to have a soft spot for annoyingly soprano, operatic singers. The guitars are biting and the group&#8217;s rhythm section is confident and pounding. Their new album <i>Springtime and Blind </i>comes out on Run For Cover Records on <span class="aBn"><span class="aQJ">April 13</span></span>. Go check them out!</p>
