The guitar picking and sweet melody is more than enough to get you to fall in love with singer-songwriter, Ali George. The talented artist released a full length album in 2016 titled “Fallen Jewel” and an incredible track, the opening track, from the album is called “Underneath the New Spring Sky.” The song evokes several emotions for the listener and paints a grand photograph that will be remembered long after the song stops playing. Ali George describes the lyrical content as being about “…the irony of spending a day in a beautiful, perfect place with someone you don’t want to be spending time with.” The singer-songwriter has put out 5 full length albums of original music and has been gigging since age 16, he is now 33. He lists his musical influences as Nick Drake, John Martyn, Bert Jansch, Randy Newman, Neil Young, Father John Misty, Bon Iver, The Tallest Man on Earth and Joanna Newsom. The song is excellent! Go give it a listen on Spotify! We are excited to hear some new music from him, hopefully soon!
