<p><img class=" wp-image-3422 aligncenter" src="https://rockthepigeon.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/5-29-18-goosebump.jpg" alt="5 29 18 Goosebump" width="402" height="402" />Goosebump&#8217;s &#8216;She Don&#8217;t Say Goodbye&#8217; is some artsy, spacey indie rock. Neil Rankin, one of the core songwriters, said this tune is, &#8220;a meditation on saying goodbye to someone despite them being right in front of you and them not really saying anything. A light bit of disco for you to groove to.&#8221; These guys &#8220;have been involved in the Toronto avant pop scene for years,&#8221; but the new self-titled album is supposed to, &#8220;highlight the duo’s individual growth and the way they’ve grown closer together as collaborators.&#8221; The funky, bass-heavy groove is deeply reminiscent of The Talking Heads. Behind that, some haunting keys and brassy horns give the tune a B horror movie sense. The layers of irony seem to run deep here, yet somehow these guys come out with an amusing, deeply entertaining artistic achievement without taking themselves too seriously.
