The Francos new song &#8220;Back to Basics&#8221; is stylistically an indie-pop banger with some retro influences added in to spice things up a bit. The instrumentation is stripped down on the verse where the vocals are busier rhythmically than the chorus. The chorus comes across as mellow but incredibly relatable and insanely catchy while maintaining a dreamy feel. The songs lyrical content pulls on the heartstrings of the listeners.
