<p><span class="message"><span class="message-text">Toronto-based singer-songwriter Deanna Petcoff is out with a new single called &#8220;Stage Lights.&#8221; The song starts out with a bass riff, simple drum groove, and atmospheric guitar riff that is definitely an ear worm. The song picks up suddenly at the 40 second mark, and brings on a really high energy hook melody, before settling down into a more dreamy verse, just to pick up and settle again. The music seems to tell the story of the emotions of an unrealistic relationship, chronicling the highs and the lows. The song is about lusting after another musician and picturing the lifestyle that would become of the two performers as they are touring in consecutive cities, and never seeing each other in person. Late night phone calls, loneliness and stage lights are a reoccurring themes in the lyrics. The song picks up again for an epic ending. </span></span></p>
