<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In 2019 Geneviève Racette covered (Dallas Green) City and Colour&#8217;s &#8220;Hello, I&#8217;m in Delaware&#8221; and posted to her Instagram profile. The two singer-songwriters connected from this post and an unlikely friendship was born; fan with artist. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Dallas Green shared the cover version with his fans and then invited Racette to sing the song on stage with him at Osheaga, Quebec’s largest summer music festival. The two stayed in touch while Geneviève Racette started working on her record Satellite. She sent tracks to Dallas including the song &#8220;Someone.&#8221; Dallas asked if he could join her on this song. Of course, Racette said yes, and this duet of &#8220;Someone&#8221; was born. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This collaboration makes perfect sense. The songwriting style of Geneviève Racette is similar to Dallas Green. Ethereal guitars and slowly paced vocal lines that seem to drift in the air are hallmarks of City and Colour. Plus, the song is exploding with emotion. It&#8217;s the time of song that calls for introspection and has the power to change the mood of a room. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The two will take the stage together on February 13th at MTelus. Racette will be City and Colour’s Special Guest in Montreal, QC. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong><em>Satellite</em></strong>, Racette&#8217;s LP is set to release on March 18, 2022. She will be on tour to support her album! </p>
