Their refined sound and production as top notch and their songs are extremely catchy. With a throwback vibe that harkens to everything great about music in the 80s, it&#8217;s also impossible not to feel the best type of nostalgic warmth while you listen to them. The result is a band that feels destined for something big. So, today, I invite you to hop aboard the Millennium Resorts bandwagon early and enjoy the ride to &#8220;The Big Show&#8221; &#8211; a place the are most certainly destined for.</p>
<p>The aptly named new single is a perfect blend of electronica, new wave, dance, and alternative&#8230; following their equally stunning single &#8220;Happiness&#8221; that released a few months ago (and <a href="https://farsightedblog.com/2023/12/05/explore-happiness-with-texas-based-duo-millenium-resorts/">I wrote about in early December on The Farsighted</a>). With dystopian and cyberpunk vibes, the influence of countless hours watching VH1 <em>Behind the Music</em> episodes, a evident musical diet of Depeche Mode and Joy Division, and an affinity for Hans Zimmer, Millennium Resorts have created a musical soundscape that&#8217;s equal parts M83, Radiohead, Erasure, and Christopher Nolan.</p>
