Acoustic guitars and beautiful voices echo the sounds of Americana in perfect harmony on Sam Sample and Cam Harper’s “7 (Americana Version).” There is a richness in Sam Sample’s voice, low toned and smooth, and Cam Harper’s voice rests on top, adding glitter to the warmth and brightening up the track. The two of them fit perfectly together but the song has another message. He has a weakness for her but he can’t commit, he can’t surrender to love. “I love you but I need another year alone.” He seems to be stressed out with the happenings in his life, completely worn tired from it. “I wanna lose a couple days.” The song has a playful melody that is an instant earworm. If you are into organic sounding Americana folk songs, this is one worth listening to right now.
