ALANI’s “Dance Through the Madness” Revives Dance Pop

ALANI’s release of “Dance Through the Madness” is a certain danceable jam from her EP, “April Showers”, exploring love and blurred boundaries. Pulling you into a world where restraint and release play tug of war, “Dance Through the Madness” is a track that kicks off with the innocence of the beginning of things before inevitably unravelling into complexity that insists on your body to move through it.
Her voice finds a way to hit literal new heights as the song climbs higher in a well-placed key change. Her brief a cappella vocals closing out the song with the final refrain finish off a heartfelt dancing moment with goosebumps across your arms while her voice does all the lifting to close out the song. A final refrain that captures the song and her essence as an artist:
“I keep dancing through the madness cause my
Fire could burn this whole place down”
The London-born singer-songwriter has been shaped by her French, Lebanese, and Brazilian roots, which shape the music she creates as a direct view into her world of raw emotion without filter, even from a young age; ALANI was a blind finalist on The Voice Kids UK at only thirteen years old. That talent motivated her to study at New York University’s Gallatin School, drawing great experience from the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. Ever since, she’s been writing atmospheric, intimate, and deeply personal songs, each their own moment with a unique authenticity unlike the last.
Having returned to London, ALANI is releasing music shaped by moments of transition and honest confession, holding back none of the chaos or devastating nostalgia. In full disclosure, this artist has a future as bright as her voice. Her EP, “April Showers,” is available wherever you stream music.
