Little Junior’s new cover of Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘I Really Like You’ is a strong rendition that does the original justice. The driving power pop guitars, simple drums and crisp vocals are well-suited to Jepsen’s brand of pop music. She is known for her straight-forward, humble lyrics and bouncy, indie-influenced backing tracks. The band’s shot-for-shot take on the original’s music video is a nice touch. On top of everything, the band’s Canadian heritage they share with Jepsen adds an extra level of authenticity.
