Pilot Run’s ‘Ghost of Me’ Will Have You Running for Your Ex

4 24 18 Pilot Run‘Ghost of Me’, the new Pilot Run tune, is an angsty, uniquely British iteration of emo pop. In some regards, these guys sound like a cross between Funeral For a Friend and You Me at Six or Moose Blood. The pop punk is in there, but these guys commit fully to traditional emo tropes and tactics. This differentiation is clarified further by their decidedly unglamorous, bare bones production choices. Emo is a difficult genre to carve out a unique place in, but these guys are talented musicians with a strong pop sensibility and muscular composition. There will always be a place for music like this, so given the time to develop more these guys could hit it big. Check out ‘Ghost of Me’ below.
