The Lazlo Device’s ‘You Stumble, I Fall’ Channels Desert Rock Into Something New

4 28 18 The Lazlo DeviceThe Lazlo Device’s ‘You Stumble, I Fall’ is some eclectic, mystifying experimental post rock. These guys are, by their own admission, deeply in debt to desert rock. It really comes out on here. The deep, sludgy trance that is ‘You Stumble, I Fall’ is not terribly unlike Sleep or Kyuss, but also channels the pop sensibility of groups like Queens of the Stone Age or Arcade Fire. The eastern-sounding riffs blend well with the broad array of techniques and instrumentation at work here. This track is deeply complex and kind of unpredictable, but it’s still groovy. Maybe even danceable. These guys are true up-and-comers. Check out ‘You Stumble, I Fall’ below!
