‘Soulsexual’ by Distant Bonds is layered, bombastic indie pop with a funky groove. This “London-based trio,” claims to be known for, “fusing catchy pop-like choruses with arena-rock inspired sing along hooks.” The new self-titled EP is purportedly a, “polishing [of] the band’s already established sound.” These guys have a penchant for combining well-done rock instrumentation with a broader radio pop sensibility. In that sense, they’re kind of like The 1975. On the other hand, they have an undeniable grasp on funk that’s more reminiscent of Bruno Mars. You’ll definitely be hearing more from these Londoners soon. Check out ‘Soulsexual’ below!
