This Chicago-based duo was &#8220;founded in 2011 by Chicago native Ami Gloria. They fuse avant-garde, shoegaze, goth, and post-punk to create their unique sound.&#8221; Gloria, who plays everything except the drums on here, is clearly a seasoned multi-instrumentalist. Behind her, the almost robotically consistent drums give the tune an almost drone-like quality. This is not that far off from what&#8217;s been done by other goth rock groups like Bauhaus or Soviet Soviet, but these guys have the impressive ability to create truly immersive, haunting soundscapes.
