‘Colours Fade’ by Northern Nightlights is some fast-paced, gruff Scottish pop punk. “Formed in 2013,” these Glaswegians have, “steadily evolved, with a love for pop punk, hardcore and DIY ethics to find its place within the Scottish Pop punk scene.” These guys bring a rough, raw intensity to pop punk that’s been making a comeback in the UK. They do a great job of balancing the melodic elements of their work with the industrial grit that defines their unique character. Speaking of character, the distinctly Scottish accent that comes through so clearly in the vocal performance is awesome. These guys have a unique take on a genre that can often get bogged down in its own trappings. Check out ‘Colours Fade’ below!
