Saint Mesa’s ‘Murky’ is a dark, rumbling electronic song with an eclectic set of influences. Inspired by projects like, “Animal Collective, MassiveAttack and Glass Animals,” in addition to, “world music and his own Chilean background,” this artist has created something truly unique. The pulsing synths and dramatic vocal approach that begin the song sets a strong tone from the beginning. Later on, as seemingly indigenous percussion elements get introduced into the mix, the song takes on a more eclectic, groovy character. All in all, this is a really well-done piece. It’s absolutely worth a listen. Check out ‘Murky’ below!
