Two Great Punk Bands to Check Out Today: Fresh w. “Daytime” and The Split Seconds w. “Impulsive Automatic”

We recently discovered two excellent punk bands that have put out new music. Both of these bands carry the true spirit of punk rock and have big sounds that quickly draw audiences in! They totally won our punk rock hearts here at Rock The Pigeon. Enjoy the sounds of Fresh and The Split Seconds… Punk is not dead!

Fresh - 2017

The first band I want to highlight is Fresh! Fresh is a punk band with a huge sound and grand lead vocals. The band is based in London and are currently on tour. They have just released a cool DIY style music video for their anthemic song “Daytime.” The videos is a well put together compilation of tour and festival footage. “Daytime” is the first track off of their 7” expected on 31st August through Specialist Subject Records (UK) and Discos Finu (Spain). We can’t wait to hear more from this talented group! Thanks FRESH for keeping punk alive!

Upcoming Shows:
7th July – Water into Beer, London (Acoustic)
11th July – FTF Fest, Southampton (Acoustic)
14th July – Lexington, London with Don’t Worry

Next up we have another excellent punk band that has a more early punk sound that a new school sound. The Split Seconds, from D.C., have recently released their sophomore album titled “Counterfeit Reality” on June 8th that carries the true spirit of punk: political rebellion themed lyrics.  The song “Impulsive Automatic” has big sounding guitars (including an excellent guitar solo towards the end of the track), pounding bass and drums, emotional vocals, and a great hook that fans will be sure to shout at their live shows. You can hear this great song and true punk record on Spotify now! You can also stream on SoundCloud if you don’t have Spotify. Enjoy you punks!
