<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4007" src="https://rockthepigeon.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/7-8-18-cleopatrick.jpg?w=886" alt="7 8 18 Cleopatrick.jpg" width="443" height="443" />Cleopatrick&#8217;s &#8216;Youth&#8217; is patient rock music that makes good use of loud-quiet dynamics. &#8220;Best friends since the first day of kindergarten,&#8221; the band says, &#8220;frontman Luke Gruntz and drummer Ian Fraser translate their lifelong connection into a powerful unification of sound.&#8221; Utilizing &#8220;a bastardized bass amp and split signal, Gruntz simultaneously commands the range of bass and guitar topped with provocative blues grooves and take-down breakdowns.&#8221; This Ontario-based duo really knows how to paint on the intensity. Their home province has long been a hot bed of blues-oriented, punk-tainted rock music. These guys are doing a good job of carrying on that torch. Cleopatrick is absolutely worth a listen.
