<p><img class=" wp-image-4094 aligncenter" src="https://rockthepigeon.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/7-17-18-beerwine-king.jpg" alt="7 17 18 Beerwine King" width="453" height="453" />Beerwine King&#8217;s &#8216;Boomerang&#8217; is intense, dynamic alt rock out of Oakland. This single off their new album <em>Treason</em> was &#8220;recorded at Nu-Tone studios by Ben Hirschfield.&#8221; It seems like their general musical goals could be summed up as &#8220;OAKLAND VS EVIL.&#8221; These guys do a good job of not playing their hand too early. The listener has to wait patiently to get to the crux of the piece. The monotone, almost sarcastic vocal approach on here is really well done. At the same time, the solid, clanging nature of the guitars mesh really well with the fleetingly melodic bass lines. Behind everything, some well-placed percussion keeps everything together.
