<p><img class=" wp-image-4847 aligncenter" src="https://rockthepigeon.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/9-4-18-against-himself.jpeg" alt="9 4 18 Against Himself" width="442" height="442" />Against Himself&#8217;s &#8216;Currents&#8217; is slick, melodic hard rock with an anxious radio edge. &#8220;Does hard, heavy, powerful, and catchy music appeal to you?&#8221; the band asks. &#8220;If so, Against Himself is the band you&#8217;ve been looking for!&#8221; These guys have a very unique groove. It&#8217;s fast and anxious, but at the same time it captures some of the same bassy energy present in groups like Mudvayne or System of a Down. This isn&#8217;t ear-crushingly heavy, but this guys do hit hard. There&#8217;s a notable intensity that&#8217;s balanced conscientiously with a sense of accessibility and melody. Behind that tendency, the musicianship on here is strong and far from simple. This is a really well-done track from a solid band. Check out &#8216;Currents&#8217; below!</p>
