Against Himself’s ‘Currents’ Is Slick Hard Rock with an Anxious Radio Edge

9 4 18 Against HimselfAgainst Himself’s ‘Currents’ is slick, melodic hard rock with an anxious radio edge. “Does hard, heavy, powerful, and catchy music appeal to you?” the band asks. “If so, Against Himself is the band you’ve been looking for!” These guys have a very unique groove. It’s fast and anxious, but at the same time it captures some of the same bassy energy present in groups like Mudvayne or System of a Down. This isn’t ear-crushingly heavy, but this guys do hit hard. There’s a notable intensity that’s balanced conscientiously with a sense of accessibility and melody. Behind that tendency, the musicianship on here is strong and far from simple. This is a really well-done track from a solid band. Check out ‘Currents’ below!

  1. David Hunt from this band likes to sexually harass women after they say no. There’s tons of proof. Dont support predators, there are tons of local bands that don’t have assholes in them.
