All Burd & Keyz See is “Miracles”

Burd & Keyz (Andrew “Burd” Liburd and Anthony “Durty Keyz” James) got their admirable reputation by turning their high school love of making beats into a way of life that would go on to touch millions. From Toronto to records with Machine Gun Kelly, Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Ferg, and French Montana, their names and their work reached well past the high school days they started from.

This artist duo is, famously, no stranger to the losses that counterweight the miracles sung about today. Keyz passed away back in 2010 at just 23 years old, leaving Burd to carry their shared vision forward. The grief has informed his vision, not blurred it, as is evident in the track “Miracles” lyrics:

“There’s two things I won’t do
Play victim, play martyr
There’s two places I won’t go
That’s broke and to the bottom
My dogs know that I know that I got ’em
Like Batman and Gotham
We locked in from the jump, man
Ain’t nothin’ that can stop us”

All these years later, the artist known today as Burd & Keyz has released a track called “Miracles” with lyrics and melodies that would make the late Keyz proud as Burd steps out from behind the credits to tell his own story. This song has been a long time coming, arriving after years of persistence, personal loss, and a love for the music.
