<p><img class=" wp-image-5393 aligncenter" src="https://rockthepigeon.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/10-22-18-wharves.jpeg" alt="10 22 18 Wharves" width="458" height="458" />&#8216;Mo&#8217;s Desert Clubhouse&#8217; by Wharves is dynamic, high-energy post-punk with a spastically anxious retro approach. &#8220;The music for this track came from our Sapphire Sessions in March 2018,&#8221; the band says, when they &#8220;stayed in a beautiful house near the beach in Coffs Harbour and jammed for three days straight.&#8221; These guys are bringing a lot of different things to the table. There&#8217;s definitely a very clear DEVO vibe on here, but at the same time there&#8217;s a darker, more serious approach reminiscent of Franz Ferdinand or Queens of the Stone Age. It&#8217;s definitely rooted to some extent in the early 2000s garage rock movement, but there&#8217;s a kind of zany theatricality featured on the track that really sets it apart.
