These guys are &#8220;are a Toronto punk band,&#8221; they say, with &#8220;a self-heckling sense of humor.&#8221; Musically, they describe themselves as flowing from, &#8220;thrash ragers to acoustic scream-a-longs&#8230; Somewhere between irony and nihilism, The Bare Minimum subvert pop songs into meditations on bar culture, boredom, and scene politics.&#8221; This group definitely hits hard. They bring a blues- and hard rock-imbued approach to their more modern underground punk origins. The music at large, especially the riffs, are strong, but the vocals are what stand out the most. There&#8217;s a sad buzzsaw quality to them that gives the track a real sense of purpose. This is an awesome song from a great band. Check out &#8216;Hollow Animals&#8217; below!</p>
