‘Evelyn’ by The Trust Fund Kids Is Competent, Pensive Indie Rock

12 7 18 The Trust Fund Kids‘Evelyn’ by The Trust Fund Kids is dark, pensive indie rock with a refined, understated approach. Musician Kevin Connor describes The Trust Fund Kids as his personal “self-produced musical project.” There’s an ideological unity and sonic togetherness on here that could only come from a one-man project. From the low, chunky guitar riffs peppered with warm electronic elements to the hopeless, monotone approach to the lyrics and punchy rhythm section, everything on this track fits together perfectly. In a few words, it’s lean and refined. There’s just a high level of competency on here in terms of musicianship, composition and production. Check out ‘Evelyn’ below!
