‘Help Me’ by Moxie and the Nobodies Is Well-Textured Australian Indie Rock

12 15 18 Moxie and the Nobodies‘Help Me’ by Moxie and the Nobodies is a crunchy, spacey take on indie rock from Australia. The band’s debut album Vulture Visions “focuses on death, space and what the future might hold for humanity. It brings a blend of friendly nihilism and absurdity wrapped up in a tasty alternative rock package.” This tune, which is described as taking place, “in the black vacuum of space… focuses on a lonely and confused astronaut as he floats high above the earth.” These guys definitely have some serious Bowie vibes, but at the same time they’re bringing a very unique, janky texture to the table. Simply, these guys sound very collage-like. All of the various performances are mixed together in a way that allows them to function in a unitary fashion while also maintaining their own individual integrity. This is a really cool song from a chill band. Check out ‘Help Me’ below!
