‘California Kids’ by The Perx is an aggressive, high-energy take on rock music with a clear electronic edge. These guys really know how to bring a sense of excitement into music. The main riff that defines the track has a sludgy, rolling enthusiasm that really carries the song. Under that, the bassy, garbled rhythm work gives the piece the structure and flow it needs to work. On top of everything, the sly vocal approach gives the track a clear message and that last little bit of personality. This is a nice track from a cool band. Check out ‘California Kids’ below!
