Dino Mansik’s ‘Iso Ja Tuntematon’ is a piercing, happy take on indie pop out of Finland. These guys describe themselves as, “a fresh newcomer to the Finnish music scene.” They work with “an attractive combination of catchy pop hooks, electronic soundscapes and cinematic vibrations.” It’s nice to hear people making music in their native languages. Especially a language like Finnish which is really very unique. In a lot of ways, this is a pretty standard pop track, but the twin vocal approach and glittering upbeat synths bring a warm, kind heart to an icy, automated sound.
