Before 2018 comes to a close we would like to take a moment to shine a light on a great release from this year out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. “Small Hours” is an EP by CLIFFDIVER which features emotionally raw vocals and well composed lyrics. The EP starts with an explosive track called “You Sir, Are Obviously Not a Golfer.” It’s a song that is driven by a pop-punk vocal and excellent instrumentation including melodic guitar riffs and even an instrument not typically found in this genre, a saxophone. “You Sir, Are Obviously Not a Golfer” is a track that quickly pulls the listener in and encourages them to spend the time listening to the entire 4-song EP which will definitely not disappoint. Keep an eye out for CLIFFDIVER in the upcoming year. This is one of the bands that Rock the Pigeon will be watching closely as their instrumentation and compositions are extremely unique in sound. CLIFFDIVER is a breath of fresh air in the pop-punk music scene.
CLIFFDIVER is comprised of the supreme skills of: Joey Duffy (Vocals), Matt Ehler (Guitar/Vocals), Spencer Swayne (Lead Guitar), Cody Goad (Bass), Dony Nickles (Saxophone), and Eliot Cooper (Drums).
We recommend all 4 songs on CLIFFDIVER’s EP. Enjoy “Small Hours” on Spotify now:
