<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Love in October&#8217;s &#8216;I Don&#8217;t Want to Die Tonight&#8217; is some high-energy pop punk that makes good use of electronic elements. These guys describe themselves as, &#8220;an indie rock band from Chicago, IL that blends lo-fi fuzzy guitars, pop hooks and a broken drum machine.&#8221; They say this &#8220;is the first single from [their] new album, <em>SHAPES</em>, which will be released mid February, 2019. The song is a direct response to a panic attack and captures a primal response to the daily shit that we all have to deal with.&#8221; The band definitely sounds a lot like Mindless Self Indulgence, but it also feels like they take a lot of cues from post-punk revival groups like Interpol or Bloc Party. In fact, it could even be said that in a lot of ways they sound like a sped up, mechanized version of some of The Strokes&#8217; earlier work. This is a fun, high-energy track.
