<p>If you&#8217;re a musician, you&#8217;ve probably been told that you should get a backup plan. For some reason our society is taught not to believe in artists and that being a musician is not a real job. Of course, that&#8217;s totally not true. Being a musician takes lots of continuous hard work. To make ends meet, it&#8217;s definitely a full time job from the moment you rise to the moment you fall asleep. The musicians that I know are the hardest working people that I&#8217;ve met.</p>

<p>A New York singer-songwriter named Keith Ward has wrote an anthemic song about these comments of needing a so-called backup plan. He graduated from college and people asked him what he was going to do next, he said he was going to be a musician. After being told one too many times that he should find a proper backup plan he wrote a great song called &#8220;Backup Plan.&#8221; The song is not only lyrically relevant to musicians and artists, but it is musically brilliant. It features an explosive and riffing horn section that is unforgettable. Keith Ward&#8217;s song definitely puts everyone who told him to have a backup plan in their place. Saying an artist should have a backup plan is equivalent of saying that you don&#8217;t believe in their art or their success. Keith Ward knows his talent and knows his passion. He&#8217;s willing to push all those comments aside and continue to work on his art and his dream. The lyrics prove that is he relentless and he will not give up no matter what people tell him.</p>
